compositions of all time and will be performed in the stunning
surrounds of York Minster with a full orchestra. 14th March.

Explore York’s historic streets and discover the theme of “Enchanted”.
Watch as live ice carving brings these stories to life, and enjoy
interactive experiences that will delight visitors of all ages.

York’s Grand Opera House opens 2026 with a vibrant programme.
The Talented Mr Ripley delivers glamorous psychological suspense.
Carlos Acosta’s Nutcracker in Havana infuses Tchaikovsky with Cuban
flair and carnival colour. Agatha Christie’s Death on the Nile completes
the season with stylish intrigue, jealousy and murder.
York Barbican
The season blends big-name music and entertainment: major touring
artists deliver arena-style concerts (10cc 4th March and Scouting
for Girls 17th March), top comedians bring sharp stand-up (Josh
Widdicombe 28th February and Chris Ramsey 20th March), and
‘evenings with’ offer education and humour (Davina McCall 22nd
January and The Fast Show cast 29th January). Together, they offer a
vibrant programme of sound, laughter and nostalgia.
